Welcome to Scouts BSA Troop 658. We offer a full and exciting, adventure-based program for both young men and women.

Troop 658 has been offering scouting to youth, ages 11-17 since 1923. In 2019 we began offering the scouting program to female youth. Troop 658 is a regional troop serving Winooski, Colchester, Burlington, South Burlington, Milton, Essex Jct. and the surrounding communities.

Do you want to become friends with other scouts across Vermont, explore the outdoors, become a leader, have fun learning exciting new skills? Want to explore ice fishing on Lake Champlain, learn to build a fire with primitive tools, climb Camel’s Hump or even become an Eagle Scout? How about honing your aim with a rifle, shotgun or bow and arrow? Do you want to meet experts from different professions and explore career paths?

BSA Troop 658 can provide all these opportunities and more. If you are interested come and visit us. We meet Sunday evenings at Saint Francis Xavier School in Winooski, Vermont from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm.

Scouting's "Journey to Excellence" is the BSA's council performance recognition program designed to encourage and reward success and measure the performance of our units. It is meant to encourage excellence in providing a quality program at all levels of the BSA. We are proud to be a "Gold" level unit for 9 years running.

We've added a fun and exciting event to May! Join us for the Three Rivers and Long Trail district spring camporee at Mt. Norris. There will be fun games, prizes, campfires, and lots of laughs. Older scouts - We need your help to lead several stations!

Cost is $19 plus food.

April Cycling Campout - Rescheduled to 4/15-16

Hello Scouts and Scouters,

The April Cycling campout has been rescheduled to the weekend of 4/15-16 to accommodate the Easter holiday. There is still time to signup for this fun filled event with our Arrow of Light cub scouts. Come have fun riding the Lamoille Valley rail trail and camping at Mt. Norris. If you don't like to ride, there are plenty of other activities to do.

Cost: $12 plus food

Our Scouts BSA Troops 658G and 658B out of Winooski Vermont are attending a Sea Base high adventure trip in Florida in 2023. This a wonderful opportunity for the youth (boys and girls) in the troops to further develop their leadership skills

Shotgun and Water Park Adventure

Are you stuck in a winter rut? Do you want to get out and have some fun? Join us for an epic adventure February 17- 19th. Scouts will do shotgun trap shooting and learn scout skills at Mt. Norris. On Sunday scouts will visit the Jay Peak pump house.
